Kozlovic Teran
A deliciously intense Croatian red wine from Kozlovic winery in West Istria, a family who have produced Istrian wine since 1904. Teran is a traditional grape found mostly in the West Istria region and has been cultivated there for centuries. Hand harvested grapes from their high altitude vineyards that are aged in oak for 8 months create an excellent example.
Ruby with purple hues in appearance, this wine shows intense aromas of herbs combined with tones of blackcurrant, sour cherry, and soft pepper spices. The palate brings intense cherry and blackcurrant alongside pleasant pepper and a smoky mocha finish. Try with red meats or game, prosciutto, or flavourful cheese.
